Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan - Especially For You

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan’s Christmas 1988 single “Especially For You” actually hit the top spot in the UK on 1st January 1989 and went on to sell a million copies in that territory alone. It remains producers Stock Aitken and Waterman’s biggest seller in Britain and Kylie’s second biggest behind “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”. The track also made the top 10 in their native Australia, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland.

Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up

“Never Gonna Give You Up” was a global smash on its release in July 1987, topping the charts in 25 countries including Rick’s native UK and the US Billboard Hot 100. It also won the Brit Award for Best single in 1988. Stock Aitken and Waterman wrote and produced the track which was the lead-off single and lead track from Rick’s debut LP “Whenever You Need Somebody”. The album was itself a UK number one and would go on to sell over 15 million copies worldwide.

Sonia - Listen To Your Heart

The first single from Sonia's debut LP (Everybody Knows), Listen To Your Heart peaked at number 10 in the UK singles chart in late 1989. The track was written and produced by the legendary Stock Aitken and Waterman team and was also a chart hit in Ireland and France. The song was featured on the International soundtrack of the Brazilian telenovela Rainha da Sucata and in the Phillipines it appeared on the dating comedy game It's a Date.
